Meet the 2023 Committee
Hi! My name is Federica and I am from the south of Italy. I am part of the European Public Health Erasmus Mundus Program and for my first year of studies I am here in Sheffield. SheffWHO is a great opportunity to learn about the different perspectives and approaches to public and global health. I am honoured to be the President of this year’s Committee! I believe that through the exchange of ideas, teamwork, and reciprocal support we can ensure the success of the SheffWHO 2023 Conference that every participant will enjoy!
Hi I’m Tash, from South Devon in the UK. I’m currently studying on the MPH International Development combined programme. I have a particular interest in global health issues in relation to Indigenous and remote communities. I am excited to be the vice-president of the SheffWHO22-23 and look forward to utilising some of my previous experience in event and project management to create a wonderful event which reflects the diverse skill set and hardwork of the committee.
Hello! My name is Danielle Moriarty and I am from Canada/USA! I am part of the European Public Health Masters Erasmus Mundus Program studying in Sheffield & Paris. I am interested in mastering the subject of disease and how it affects our society and natural environments as well as acquiring a more global perspective on common health problems and approaches to prevention. I am very excited to be joining the SheffWHO organising committee as I believe such a simulation is a great opportunity to apply concepts we are learning in the lectures and how we can make an impact as professionals in the public health field!

Hello, I’m Muftika Lutfiana from Indonesia. I’m currently studying my first year at The University of Sheffield and will do my specialisation on Environmental and Occupational Health at EHESP School of Public Health in France for my second year with the European Public Health Program. Hello everyone, my name is Md Ismail Tushar and I am a master student studying Public Health. I am delighted to be part of the team as the Design & Marketing Coordinator for this academic year. My goal is to relay all important information concerning the 2023 SheffWHO simulation in a relatable, effective, and fun way. I am excited to work with the entire organization committee to make one of the best SheffWHO simulations Sheffield has experienced.

Hi, I’m Akshaya Sethunath. I come from India, and currently pursuing MPH (Management & Leadership). Sheff WHO is a great opportunity to raise burning global health issues and to build and share knowledge with those who share the same passion towards it. It is also a platform to gain experience leading, conducting and collaborating with various stakeholders and fellow public health professionals. Hi, I’m Mark from Thailand. I have my background in medicine and now I’m studying a European Masters of Public Health at Sheffield. As a theme guide coordinator, I will do my best in developing the conference theme as well as the sub themes that every participant will discuss and get the most out of this event. Hello, my name is Dr Tejas Austakar Prabhakara and I am from Bangalore which is the capital city of Karnataka situated in south India. Basically, I am a surgeon by profession and at present pursuing MPH programme at University of Sheffield. I simply can’t express how happy I am to be a part of this Sheff WHO 2023 organising committee as a conference services coordinator. I come from China, a vast country rich in culture and diversity, yet facing many health challenges. These challenges urge me to explore Global Public Health from different perspectives. I am so excited to be taking part in SheffWHO as the Inclusion and Delegate Officer’s Assistant this year.
